Fire Ant Control Service in Greenville and Spartanburg
Fire ants are a real nuisance, but with our Fire Ant Control Service, you do not ever need to worry about them again. We recommend two treatments per year in the lawn and shrub beds. Properly done and with normal weather conditions, they will never be established in your yard. If you already have established fire ants, we can treat existing mounds as part of our treatment. It is far better to prevent these creatures than to have to eradicate them later.
Fire ants nest in the soil, often near moist areas, such as river banks, pond shores, and watered lawns. Unlike many other ants, which bite and then spray acid on the wound, fire ants bite only to get a grip and then sting (from the abdomen) and inject a toxic alkaloid venom called Solenopsin. For humans, this is a painful sting, a sensation similar to what one feels when burned by fire (hence the name).
There is an added bonus too…the same treatment we use for fire ants, also works on fleas and ticks. Tick-borne diseases in the south include: Lyme Disease, Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever, STARI, Ehrlichiosis and Tularemia. Some of these are serious, even life-threatening diseases that affect humans and pets. Why take the chance?
When you sign up for our Fire Ant Control Service, we guarantee our work and retreat at no charge if you have any trouble with fire ants, fleas, or ticks returning.
